LECTURE/ TUTORIAL/ PRACTICAL

Week 11 was a final project consultation week. Mr. Fauzi briefed us about Project 3: E-Portoflio and Project 4: Self-Titled. Project 3 consists of weekly blog posts of our classes, while Project 4 consists of our progress of our poster and animation. Project 3: E-Portfolio (10%) The portfolio is a document that collates all assessments produced in a module and reflects a student’s acquisition of the Module Learning Outcomes and Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities. Each student is to develop an E-Portfolio, a web-based portfolio in the form of a personal academic blog. E-portfolio is categorized under 4 entries: 1. Project 1: Digital & Physical Collages 2. Project 2: Photoshop exercises & Conceptual Product Photoshoot 3. Final Project: Cinemagraphs - Self-tilted (still & animation) 4. Weekly post: Lecture, Tutorial & Practical Project 4: Self-Titled (30%) Theme: SELF-TITLED. Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality in digital art self-expression. The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest. I first did some research for inspiration for my final project. After looking at the examples on the website link above, I noticed the designs were very collage-like.

I then realized collages do not fit my style at all. The theme is "Self-titled", and while these are beautiful works of art, the art does not reflect my personality or style. Thus, began round two of the inspiration search.

REFLECTION
This is a very fun project to do because it allows us to explore ourselves and our identity, and express that into our art. This week, I made some progress on gathering visual references. I learned that this is quite important to give us inspiration of what we want to design and the message we want to convey.
